To send a statement style report to your clients (or boss!) then use the handy reports on the Quotes and Invoices pages.
You’re able to create the statement by a time period, status, client & project and, as with all ProWorkflow reports, you can then print, PDF, email or export!

We’ve had a great response to these new reports so if you haven’t yet tried them out, now’s the time to give them a whirl!
We’ve had a few reports from Entourage users that they can’t use the “Reply to Message” link in the email message alerts. This is happening because of a bug in Entourage that removes “&” characters from web links in an email.

All ProWorkflow subscription accounts should now be upgraded to the latest v7.3 release! This is a fairly solid update and includes some big new features!

New Messaging!!
Finally, we got the new messaging out! This is essentially a complete rebuild of the old ‘Communication section in ProWorkflow. We’ve set this up now to be a more fluid way to talk to your staff, clients and contractors. You can find out more on this earlier post.

Landing page/Setup Assistant
To make it easier for users who are new to the system to get up to speed quickly, we’ve created a ‘Setup Assistant’ screen. This is a step-by-step screen to setup the application’s settings and start adding users and projects. This will show for new users, but current customers can still access this through the Admin section.

Widget tweaks
We’ve made a few tweaks to the Time Tracker Widget to make it a little more flexible and also to allow trial accounts to access it. We have made the following tweaks:
- Can track time for General Tasks
- Completed tasks no longer shown
- Now works for Trial accounts

BaseCamp Import (on request)
We have had a number of users wanting to use ProWorkflow as either a supplement to or in instead of BaseCamp. To help these users we’ve developed an ‘Import from BaseCamp’ tool.
We think BaseCamp is a great tool and have actually referred some customers to them if it’s the right fit, but find that some larger companies that started on BaseCamp, have grown to the point they need a more comprehensive project management software tool to manage larger numbers of staff.

Tweaks to various built-in & custom reports
There were a few quirks and bugs with the Custom Reports tool that we’d been meaning to get to. These are resolved, so this should run a lot more stable now. The Custom Reports Builder is a great tool, but a very complex piece of code. It’s a work in progress so we’re always open to suggestions to improve it.

Tweak to Client View permission
There is a new permission we’ve added for Clients allowing them to ‘View Projects in Archive”. In the past we didn’t have this option, but enough people asked, so we added it!
ProWorkflow is becoming a well known name in the industry these days and we’re finding more customers joining us as a result of referral. The proof of a good project management software tool is in the adoption and use by customers and their staff.
I know of many solutions with high uptake numbers, but a lesser published number is the amount of use a product has once in the hands of the customer. Often a solution is dropped if it has poor usability, doesn’t meet needs, is overpriced, or there’s insufficient training material.
Look at the screenshot below. This is just small screenshot of some customer account statistics, we can produce many more results from our customer stats just like these. This shows a pattern of long term, extended use and adoption of the ProWorkflow tool – we must be doing something right. People don’t go creating 56,000 tasks just for fun! Imaging tracking 70,000 hours of time! What about billing out 4,000 projects $$ !!

Reminder to all users that Daylight Savings changes are upon us again – heading into summer hours for our Southern Hemisphere counterparts and sliding into winter hours for our Northern friends.
It’s a great idea when you update your radio alarms, watches, body clocks, car clock & smoke alarms to also adjust your own time in PWF. If you’ve already made the transition then pop into your ‘Personal Settings’ now and adjust that time, if you’ve yet to hit the crossover date then pop the ‘Event’ into your ‘Calendar’ now.
