Today we rolled out a nice ProWorkflow update! Here’s a summary of some of the key changes…
Projects Page – Rebuilt!
Even though the Projects page may look the same, the code has been completely rewritten in DIV’s to increase speed. We’ve added inline editing so you can double click fields to edit data. This means you can update project info without opening the ‘Edit Project’ popup – much quicker! Read the rest of this entry »
It’s been a hard week at ProWorkflow. We’ve had the team working long hours to migrate all customers to the new servers in the new data center. A few teething probs but we’re now shifted and under control. We’re all tired, but received an email today that cheered us us and got us motivated again.
Julian,
Thank you for your response. I totally understand the situation and I’m happy to assist you guys in any way necessary for future releases or testing.
And in that train of thought, let me first say how tremendous your application is. I carefully and painstakingly reviewed well over 60 various online project management systems before selecting ProWorkflow and have been thrilled every since. I run our entire agency on it now and all my staff love it.
Second, I would like to tell you how instrumental Lara was in our decision. Sure the application is feature rich and slick, but her hands-on approach to sales and training made the decision a no-brainer.
We have kept in touch over various technical issues and she’s always happy to hear all my extensive program request ideas for future releases, (Or at least she’s great at pretending she’s happy to hear them).
Anyway, I believe she is a tremendous asset to your team and we are pleased to work with her whenever possible. Keep up the great work and thank you again for providing an application like no other.
Take care Julian and just make sure you guys never go anywhere. We depend on your app way too much now and from what I’ve seen out there, there’s a far distance to anything that’s even close to being considered comparable!

We love these emails. They give us confidence that we’re on the right track with the solution. Especially when we hear that ProWorkflow beat 60 other project management software solutions! wow!
We’ll continue to improve the app and ROI to customers. It’s what we live for!

There are a couple of things to check if you’re experiencing held up communications or alerts from your ProWorkflow account:
- Check junkmail folders for emails
- Add the email address as a safe sender
- Notify your ISP that this is a safe sender
I’ve noted that some users are experiencing delays of up to 6/7 hours from the time the email leaves our servers, this usually includes **SPAM** in the subject line – ironic when you’ve cc’d yourself in a communication! Just make sure that you mark the sender as ’safe’ for the future.
You may receive a specific message with delayed emails and this will usually give a clue as to where in the chain the issue lies, if you need a hand with this then drop us a line with details (Got a question?).
Following our server migration there are just a couple of things I’d recommend you take a quick look at.
We’re excited to be able to tell you that the accounting integration with KashFlow is up and running. Currently in beta this will be available on your account very soon. This extra functionality is really great for our clients in the SME sector who are looking for seamless integration between project management and accounting systems.
KashFlow is a leading online bookkeeping software and incredibly easy to use, designed specifically for the UK small business sector, it is proving to be a winner for users.
Turning on this functionality is nice and easy, simply turn on the integration in ‘Invoice Manager’ and chose KashFlow in ‘Integration Settings’ (INVOICE Manager > Settings: Integration Settings), hit ‘UPDATE’.
Then pop on over to ‘KashFlow Settings’ in ADMINISTRATION to enter your Import Settings and you’re away laughing!
You’ll now be able to send invoices to KashFlow, keep company data up to date and have the updating of payments automated. And saving time and stress is always good!
We’re Rolling out a ProWorkflow Update today!
We are currently in the process of rolling out an update and should be finished by this evening. This is a small update with some requested fixes and improvements. There will bed be no downtime during this rollout. Here are a few items from this update:
- Dependent Tasks
We have added a heap of usability mods to make Dependant tasks easier to grasp and harder to mess up. We have also added some onscreen messaging to help guide you through the creation process. - Custom Reports
The ‘Project Category’ field has been added as an option in the ‘Custom Reports’ builder. This will add greater flexibility to reporting. - Meta Page Titles
In the ‘ADMIN > Developer Settings’ page you will find an option to change the ‘Meta Page Title Variable’. This is the text that shows in the browser title and on the task bar. Using the new option will give you ‘Contextual’ page titles. So if you have many windows open, you can see at a glance which one is which. - Project Tasks
On the ‘Project Details’ page, there is a ‘Copy Tasks’ link. In here we’ve added a ‘Create Template’ option to save time creating Task Templates for you to reuse! - Project Tasks
We added full ‘Order Number’ validation so that if you try to add duplicate Task Order numbers it won’t let you. This will also help Dependant Tasks work more smoothly. - Add Task Templates
Up until now Task Templates were added in the ‘Edit Project’ popup. You can now add Templates from the ‘+Add Task’ dropdown. - Resources/Files
You can now sort ‘Project Resources’ by filename, size or date modified on the ‘project Details’ page. - And a few more code tidy-ups…
We’re just getting through a large server migration and then will be knocking off a lot more development and feature enhancements!
Put this date in your Calendar!
- April 11-13th
What’s Happening?
We’re installing new servers! We currently host a number of customer servers at the California based Fastservers Data center. Recently we were informed that this facility will be closing in a few months and all customers moved to the newer, faster and better located Fastservers Data center in Chicago. This also gives us a good opportunity to upgrade these servers to brand new, faster servers.
What will this mean for customers?
This server move will mean faster ProWorkflow performance, more reliable service, less downtime, and will also provide better speed of access for our European customers!
Will there be disruption? Downtime?
We will be working hard with Fastservers to minimise the effect of this change on ProWorkflow users. We do need some time to complete the transition, this has been scheduled for the 11-13th of April (Depending on time zone). See below for approximate local times.
This will be over Saturday or Sunday depending on time zone. This will be Easter weekend, so many of you will some more natural downtime. Please put this in your calendar and let your staff and associated ProWorkflow users know about the downtime.
Important Note: Your account’s URL will change!
All account URL’s will change. This is because we’re moving many accounts to different server positions to provide better geographical service. Your old account will have a redirect, but you will need to notify all who use your ProWorkflow account of the new address once this has been generated.
Quick Tip:
You can use the ‘Quick Email’ feature on the ‘Contacts Page‘ to send out an email to everyone about the new account address.
Will we be backed up?
Yes! ProWorkflow’s servers have great, well tested backups, however we’ll also perform manual backups of each server prior to the server move. Your data will be safe.
Scheduled date!
Below are the approximate dates and times for the server moves. Please be aware that whilst we will attempt to perform the move within these time windows, we may be a little earlier or later… The best way to plan is to prepare for a day either side for contingency.
Note: Whilst we will be working on all accounts over the time periods below, your individual customer account downtime will be significantly less.
