We know that it’s cool to give releases cutesy or cool names (think Poseidon, Longhorn, Panther, Gran Paradiso) however we’re pretty excited about V8 as a name – it’s powerful, fast and versatile.

The V8 release isn’t an update, it’s a total rebuild from the ground up using latest technology. You’ll find it easy to use and it’s really fast!

As much as we’d love to drop more hints it’s sufficient to say that this is going at a cracking pace and the internal previews are very pleasing. There are still a few limited places on the beta program for subscription customers so drop us a line if you’re keen.

Thanks All!

It’s the passion and feedback from you, our users, that has helped shaped V8 and continues to steer the future for ProWorkflow. Keep it coming! We get feedback from:

The new V8 release is well underway! We’ve made great progress and on track for beta release in a few months!

We’ve rewritten the application from the ground up and packed it full of usability enhancements, page redesigns, ajax, graphs and other goodies! We’ve also got the application loading up to 15x faster, removed popups, added more inline editing and totally reworked the most used pages!
.

However…

There’s one screen we want some more feedback on. The main dashboard when you first login. We have plenty of ideas, but want this to be a page you really want to land on and use.
.

Sends us ideas!

Either comment on this post or contact us(through the support@ email) and let us know what you really need on the main dashboard!

You are going to be using this every day and we want a page you love. Currently we display:

This is practical, but not sexy and could be simpler.

We’re going to totally rework this page. Summaries, charts, graphs, pictures of your boss! The sky is the limit! Send us your ideas or if feeling creative, click the top screen above and hack up a visual…

We’ll be starting this page early next week so you have a few days to have a say!

Many are long time customers and their feedback is vital to us in the ongoing application development. We love helping our users get their business processes streamlined and it’s great to see them put so much chargeable work through the system.

With international assistance, there are many rescue teams still searching the rubble for survivors and will be for some time.

It looks like it will take many years to rebuild the city, restore hope and for people to stand tall again but it will happen. Cantabrian’s are tough people and the city will be rebuilt.

You can follow the news here:
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/

ProActive Software (Developers of http://www.proworkflow.com) is a 10 y/o global project management software company operating out of New Zealand with two main offices, a development office in New Plymouth and sales/support office in Christchurch. All our subscription servers and customer data is hosted in the US.

We want to let people know that our Christchurch team are all ok. We operate in a commercial office 20 mins out of the city so had a good shake, but were relatively unaffected. One employee has had damage to her home but generally speaking we’re all safe and well.

Our Christchurch office suffered no damage, power and phones this side of town are completely unaffected and we’ll all head back there next week to resume as ‘normal’.

Regarding the business side, we are reminding people though that all our subscription servers are in the US at a top data centre (LayeredTech) with full redundancy so there won’t be any downtime.

We only have the sales/support team in Christchurch and they’re operating fine. The development team is in New Plymouth so they are all unaffected. Despite the ProWorkflow team going through two major earthquakes in 6 months, ProWorkflow has had zero downtime and retained good support and service. This is the benefit of a cloud based business model.

As individuals, our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Christchurch. Many have lost families, homes, jobs and are living without water, power and sewerage.

We’ll personally do what we can to help people, but if anyone wants to offer donations to help the Christchurch relief effort, we suggest you donate to the Red Cross from this page: http://www.redcross.org.nz/donate

I’d like to personally say thank you to all the customers that have emailed us with messages of support. It means a lot to the team.

If anyone has questions concerning either the earthquake or ProWorkflow service, feel welcome to contact us through the support page and we’ll get in touch.
